Sébastien Luyasu. A master's in statistics and econometrics from Solvay Brussels School, then two and a half years inside the industry: catastrophe pricing on the reinsurer side, then reinsurance accounts as an actuary at an insurer. Now independent, in Brussels, under the name Stochastic Analytics.

The project comes out of that work. What a policy actually covers is written in documents that are public, free, and unusable at any scale: hundreds of PDFs, no shared vocabulary, nothing an agent can read. OpenInsurance is the attempt to fix that for a whole market at once, rather than one comparison at a time.

Nobody pays for it, and that is the point — the pipeline answers to its sources, not to a client. Every input is committed, every output is regenerable from the same repo, by anyone, on their own machine.
